Makoto Furukawa plays Kencho, and they are Akira’s best friend from college who, post-college, became a notable real estate agent due to his gift for gab.
Bored and a bit lonely, Akira checks his messages, and when he sees Kencho's name, he calls him just as Kencho is running out of water and surrounded by zombies.
As zombie rules are questioned, so is the long-term story of the show as Akira meets more and more people, even saves a group, but it isn't clear where "Zom 100" may go.
