  1. Lady Mae to m,e was so heartbreaking to watch this episode. I hurt for Grace with everything she is going through, but with Lady Mae, you can see that she is going through so much. For so long she has had to survive by keeping things in, not telling people of the pain that she went through, never being able to deal with what happened to her, and not knowing how to process all of it. With her brother now dead, she may feel a sense of sadness. She may very well want to mourn her brother but has to deal with everything he has done to her family, along with the fact that her own daughter could have lost her life as well. I hope James will be there for her because, she has lost a lot. Seemed like a weight was lifted off of her, as she finally spoke her truth.

    1. I felt so bad for her when Mavis didn’t pick up. She is the only person who knew the truth but has pretty much exited Mae’s life and seems to have little to no intent on returning.

What do you foresee for Jacob this half of the season?

      1. Jacob to me is such a wild card. I honestly don’t know where Jacob may end up. He so desperately wants to be his own man that he goes on impulse. Leaving the church, backing up Skanks, moving out of the mansion, doing all of that illegal gambling. He doesn’t see what is right in front of him. The only thing I foresee, or hope to foresee with Jacob is that he and the bishop can get closer, and that whatever happens he is able to find his own way. That he realizes that he needs to take the time out to learn, and build up his own brand, or his own form of work. Not just hop from one church to another, going wherever he can go that will make him feel special, and riding off of other people cotails, but understand that he has to work hard, and put in the time to have what he wants, and to have his own business.

  2. Some viewers feel like it was to early for Mac to die, and they feel like the show will lose it’s main storyline because of it. Why I agree, he was a major villain of the story, but the writers are smart, they knew at some point Mac and that whole storyline was going to have an endgame, so that’s how they decided to end it. Along with the fact that we now have season 3 of Greenleaf that will come next year, so the writers have plenty more in store for the family and the show that goes beyond Mac. I also think that the actor who played Mac really brought something sinister to the show. Top notch acting.

    1. But with that vacuum comes the question of what is next? In previews, it seems Mae and James are going to have marital problems, but what will Grace be doing? Without this centralizing force, what will unite the family?

For as much as Mac was sort of a crutch for the show, I don’t feel like we have really been set up for life without him.

      1. I honestly don’t know. All I can say as that the only thing that I saw coming for Mac was death. Yes, handling things the “legal” way, and having Mac go to jail would have been nice to see, but I feel like with the crimes that he has committed, death was something that he had coming to him.

Also again, we just have to wait and see what the writers give us. The last thing we thought that we would see is Mac dying in season 2, let alone getting killed by Grace herself, so I feel like if the writers can throw the audience for a loop like that, I think they can handle the show moving forward without Mac.

        1. I hope your right. Though it would be wonderful if Basie sort of filled in for Mac. His charisma was infectious and I refuse to believe after what Jacob did he is just going to be gone.

  3. Back at again with Greeleaf! ? Way to bring back the show! This episode was great, glad that Mac did it was the only way.

    1. But now we have to deal with him haunting Grace… Which I can see going on for the rest of the season.
