  1. Robin seemed from the get go just way too soft, insecure and needy. Ya, he possess insight and puts his daughter first, but seems to be struggling with women who are more evolved. That said, I couldnt believe Sam fell for him at all. But, I guess the moral of this episode is how blindly we enter relationships, clinging to the few things we have in common and ignoring the rest. I could see in Sam s face as she laid in bed going over the night before with him, probably jumping ahead, imagining a future with him where everything is her ideal and nothing about him. We all do it. But like Mer says so eleoquently in season 3, about the waves – it s so true, when you get older, with all our baggage and experience, we could so easily toss aside someone we don t have immediate attraction to, instead of learning how to get to know someone in time.
