What Are You? – Ursula, Sam
Following the old woman, Ursula is eventually able to cure Sam and is in such awe that she can’t help but want to read the woman’s books and, while mute, learn however she can from her. However, after Sam awakens and wanders, he realizes that the old woman may not be human, she could be a zombie or something akin to what Kamen may become.
With that, he quickly awakens Ursula and gets them out of there. But, with part of what healed Sam being this seed-looking thing that came out of the old woman, who knows if he is truly free from an alien presence.
Follow The Leader – Barry, Kris, Terrence
Barry, Kris, and Terrence receive Azi’s signal, and while not necessarily keen, originally, about playing rescue, once they hear it is the Demeter that went down? They change their mind and land on Vesta. With doing so, they do a breathing competition to decide who is the leader, and Barry fails first, with Terrence following, making Kris, the person who was already the leader, extending their reign.
What Did You Get Us Into? – Barry, Kris, Terrence, Azi
Barry, Kris, and Terrence didn’t land on Vesta to be heroes. Kris has long abandoned the traditional career model for a pilot, specifically one who helps set up new colonies for those who can afford to settle in new, exotic, and remote places. Instead, she, alongside Barry and Kris, usually searches for scrap, precious metals, and parts that can be resold and allow them to maintain their independence.
When they convey this to Azi, they make it clear they have no issue with providing rescue services to the nearest outpost, but they are just as much willing to not cooperate with her and just take the stuff and go. She agrees to working together, but with Kamen’s alien friend, who you know has a jealous streak, destroying Kris, Barry, and Terrence’s ship, you can tell Kris isn’t happy about what Azi got them involved in.

Review
Highlights
New Blood
With the loss of Levi, Azi needed someone new to play off of, and I’d submit Kris and her crew are just what she needs. Scrappy like her, survivors, Kris could be queer, and the combination should make for an interesting series of interactions. Add in she is responsible for their ship being destroyed, and now the power imbalance that used to exist is gone? Oh, this is going to be interesting.
The Situations Ursula and Sam Get Themselves Into
Honestly, I feel like we’re coming to a point where Sam and Ursula’s journey could be a solo journey. They have more than enough going on, and honestly, their interaction with people like the old woman, the environment, and animals is the driving force of this show. It’s the only consistent thing, especially with Levi gone and Kamen basically on ice while he is in utero.
