So, What Are We Going To Do About This? – Luke, Ariel, Rudy, Sylphie

With Rudy knowing the truth, the first thing done is Luke making sure he keeps his mouth shut. Naturally, with no allies on the level of his cousin or Ariel, he feigns ignorance to keep the peace, even though he could easily defeat his cousin, Ariel, and potentially more soldiers than he gives himself credit for.

Acts of war aside, with Rudy knowing Sylphie is a girl, Ariel pushes the idea that Sylphie should make a move, but the question is, what is Sylphie’s end goal? What kind of relationship does she want and while Sylphie does want romance, she doesn’t hide or pretend she isn’t sexually attracted to Rudy and also a bit horny. With that in mind, after being a bit shocked by Sylphie’s candor, Ariel helps her concoct a plan to get Rudy alone and potentially get what she wants.

Executing The Plan – Sylphie, Rudy

So the plan was to get Rudy alone, under the ruse of getting what is called a Freeze Fringe flower, up in the mountains. To ensure things go without a hitch, Sylphie got hold of Rudy’s staff and made sure it rained, and they would have to end up in a cave alone.

Here comes the part when Sylphie has to be bold. Because of getting wet, it is only natural that she and Rudy would have to strip, but Sylphie, seemingly not having this kind of experience before, got a bit scared about making her dreams into reality. After all, it has been a long-held fear that Rudy wouldn’t remember her.

Yet, as she gets the courage to let Rudy take her clothes off, it finally clicks for him, once he takes off her glasses, who she is, and with that, Sylphie begins crying, confessing her love, and that’s where things are left off.

Other Noteworthy Information

1. Rudy mentions to Zanoba about carrying out some kind of plan – it isn’t made clear what, but hopefully, this is followed up on
2. Ariel presents the idea she has been waiting for six months with no progress, pushing the idea that maybe she is the one who got Rudy invited to the university and maybe had planned to use him as a means to take back the throne.

Notable Performances or Moments

When Rudy Realizes Who Fitz Really Is

I didn’t cry but got teary-eyed seeing Sylphie get emotional. For as shown by their interaction with Ariel, while they are close to her, they recognize the power dynamic there. You can tell she feels like she owes Ariel, maybe even Luke, and that debt cannot be paid. So, while the word “friend” is used, it doesn’t seem to be felt when it comes to Sylphie.

Rudy, on the other hand, as she recalls, their friendship was birthed in him defending her, and while there was the awkwardness of him thinking she was a boy, in hindsight, something about that whole situation is now a fond memory. It doesn’t make sense to Ariel or Luke, but for Sylphie, who grew up in a culture where seemingly Elves are supposed to be ashamed or private about their nakedness, him being the first person to see her nude left a mark on her psyche.

Add in both then and now how sweet he is to her, and it allowed for a crush from her childhood to become a full-on feeling of love, her first love even. Then, add how many places he has been, and people he has met, including beautiful women, yet she is still remembered? It’s like a small-town girl reuniting with her friend after she finally leaves their hometown and spots him in New York City, and despite all the time that has passed, she is still fondly remembered.

It’s the kind of love story you may not expect to see, but we all deserve to watch and one day be part of.

Highlights

Sylphie’s Horny Side

The show has never strayed away from showing that women have desires, too. One of the earliest scenes we got in the series was Lilia masturbating to Zenith and Paul having sex. Following that, there was Roxy also being hot and bothered, then later on Elinalise is introduced, Eris had her situation with Rudy, Sara a bit after, and now Sylphie.

I bring this up since, a lot of the time, desire isn’t equally shown between male and female characters. Usually, one is the horny one or perverted, and the other, if interested, is bashful. Now, this isn’t to downplay Sylphie definitely being a bit pensive at the moment, but let’s not discount her humping a statue and wanting Rudy to do things to her I don’t know if I can say due to this site being ad supported.

But, you get the point – Sylphie getting to express her own sexual desires in a way we’ve seen Rudy do is noteworthy, and while she isn’t the first to express her desires, it was cool that she got to in a manner that could remind viewers that girls get horny too.
