Title Card, Makeine Too Many Losing Heroines! Season 1 Episode 2, directed by Yuki Watanabe, 2024, (Crunchyroll) (271)

The Gist

  1. Lemon continues to deal with her confessing to Mitsuki and the embarrassment which came with it and on her own, she decides she needs to speak to Mitsuki.
  2. No one really knows about it, though Nukumizu gets dragged to the meeting place, and with Mitsuki, Lemon hashes out their relationship up till now.
  3. In addition, she learns, at one time, that Mitsuki liked her, but then he met Chihaya (?) and with their lives so aligned, it was only natural to date her.
  4. With all this happening, Nukumizu finds himself more involved in people’s business than ever, but he draws the line at Anna trying to get him to convince Mitsuki to pretend to be her boyfriend.
  5. This has to be one of the most mature ways I’ve ever seen people reconcile their feelings for one another.
  6. There was a level of communication you don’t expect from high school students, because it is rarely depicted from high school students.
  7. But, in some ways, it does remind me of Andi Mack and how it treated teenagers as capable of the type of maturity they are rarely credited for.
  8. With that said, here is hoping Anna eventually catches up because she walks the rope between being silly and annoying sometimes.
