What’s A Season Without A Life-Threatening Event? – Buck, Hen, Chim, Maddie, Bobby, Athena, Ravi, Eddie
Thanks to a truck driver who fell asleep at the wheel, the 118 find themselves dealing with the 710 interchange collapsing and in various states of distress. Lucky for Ravi, he isn’t in the accident, but considering he just got back from training, this might be a lot for him. But, thankfully, while Buck does crash into a windshield, he is coherent enough to lead the rescue and give Ravi directions.
This allows the concussed Hen to be rescued and her to work through dizziness to help save a person they originally went to the interchange for. Eddie gets saved by Buck, who was in a van that looks like it was about to be crushed, and as for Chim? He unfortunately, was in a position in the ambulance where his abdomen got punctured, and he had the chance to bleed out.
However, this is the 118, never mind “9-1-1,” so while Chim was put into a situation where he had to hang onto the back of the ambulance while his abdomen was gushing blood, in the end, he ends up fine. As for Bobby? He was pinned underneath the ambulance which had Hen, Chim, and a patient, the van the patient was in, that Eddie got trapped in, and within the truck that caused the accident. Yet, between a civilian Bobby saved and Athena, he comes out fine.
Well, like everyone else, with injuries that will heal so well that they could continue to do feats that would make any action hero question if they have mutant powers.
It All Ends Well – Hen, Karen, Buck, Natalia, Kameron, Connor, Marisol, Eddie, Christopher, Bobby, Athena, Chim, Maddie
If you didn’t know better, you’d think this was the series finale, but, despite FOX cancelling “9-1-1,” it will transfer over to ABC. But, if it did end, it would have been on a high note (for the characters, anyway). Hen and Karen have found themselves fostering a little girl, with there being a strong potential of them getting to adopt her. With Christopher’s support, Eddie gets asked out by Marisol, and they plan a date, and as that happens, Chim and Maddie are planning their small wedding.
As for the rest? Bobby and Athena go on a cruise, and Buck? On top of delivering Kameron and Connor’s son, Natalia comes back into his life and seems to be able and willing to set aside Buck’s hectic life and be with him.

A Fit Ending – Paired With The Usual Fakeout
What is “9-1-1” without major disasters that threaten the 118 and make you question if they may actually kill someone off? There was a point where, for the umpteenth time, it seemed Chim could die, then Bobby, but with six seasons under its belt and far more deadly accidents than this? Honestly, who were they kidding?
Chim had rebar go through his head, Buck was struck by lightning and had a fire truck crush his leg, and clearly, both recovered like robots who simply had to be rebuilt. So a collapsed interchange? After a tsunami, earthquake, mudslide, and other disasters? This was light work.
Though what may not have been expected was Buck and Eddie ending the season with girlfriends, never mind Hen and Karen still in pursuit of adopting a girl. Which, when it comes to season 7, should be interesting to watch.
