In this dramatized account of Stephen Hawking’s life, much focus is given to the effects of his disease, his relationship with his wife, and the humor he kept despite his diagnosis.

Overview A small indie film with a keen focus on one 28 year old’s final birthday. Review (with Spoilers) Let it be known, this is a straight up indie film. There are no famous names, acting nor producing, and it seems very much like a labor of love. With that comes a lot of constraints…
Overview Good Kill is almost like a more reflective American Sniper. For with a moral compass being presented, when it comes to the US’s war on terror, we aren’t presented a one-sided narrative which seems drowned in patriotism and lacking heart. Director/ Writer: Andrew Niccol Trigger Warning(s): Rape Scene Review (with Spoilers) – Below

Overview A Post-Apocalyptic drama set in a rural part of California and focused on a small group of close friends with troubled relationships. Review (with Spoilers) It feels very rare to find a post-apocalyptic movie not set in the city, much less not focused on the years since the apocalypse started. Making Goodbye World, at…
Initial Thoughts While Juno Temple, the main reason I decided to watch this, isn’t what you would call consistent in choosing good movies to be in, nonetheless, she does choose the most interesting ones.

Preconceived Notions Being that the story of Peter Pan has been done many times, most famously by Disney and the late Robin Williams, so comes the question of should there have been another interpretation? Overview In this odd little animated love story, you watch one young boy’s journey from Edinburgh to France all for perhaps one kiss. Review (with Spoilers) It is rare to find English language animated films not done by Disney or Dreamworks, or have their label on it for American distribution, so imagine finding a film…

Overview A young girl, envious of her more experienced best friend, tries to win the love of a boy. A colorful noir in which there is a lot of action, a slightly weak story, but the weak story is made up for by having the type of characters you would follow through a franchise.
In a peaceful little fleet on the sea, problems arise as they try to rise a ship from the depths.
It’s a bit rushed, probably could have done better if some of the characters were introduced after the DC universe fully established itself, but as long as you don’t compare it to what Marvel offers, you’ll enjoy it.
Each of us have troubling things in our past and present but for some, it is better to run away. Even if it means being on the streets than face those troubles head on.
