While Lee Daniels and writer of the show Jordan E. Cooper announced in April the untitled Ms. Pat show was still in development, there is a new update.

During her Breakfast Club interview, Ms. Pat announced her formerly Fox Network based sitcom has moved to Hulu. This comes on the heels of Disney acquiring all of Fox assets and increasingly buying out stakeholders of the Hulu brand. Also, this is after two writers have taken a shot at trying to write the show.

But, while there is hope, it should be noted the initial deal came earlier this year before Disney officially acquired Fox and while Ms. Pat notes they have enough material for a 13 episode season, a pilot has yet to be shot. As for casting, that too has yet to be announced but Ms. Pat would star in the same ilk of Mo’Nique in The Parkers.
