How Did It End?

At the end of the film, Charlie loses everything and everyone. Rainbird kills her mother, Vicky, and in order to take out Captain Hollister, Charlie is forced to kill her father. Thus leaving her an orphan and, with her father’s words in the back of her mind, she finds it in herself to forgive Rainbird. This leads to, since he is trying to forgive himself, him deciding to look after her as the facility they were held in burns to the ground, and potentially all the different beings with powers being held escape.

Is There Sequel/ Prequel Potential?

The film ends on an ellipsis. Yes, Charlie’s parents are dead, and the new head of the company who was after her is gone, but just one location is gone and the employees who worked there. This doesn’t make Charlie safe, and even with Rainbird by her side, she is just now getting a grip on her powers. Never mind, more people know about her that are still very much alive from the incident at her old school, which led to a police report, to there being a whole Amber Alerty when it was said Andy kidnapped her.

She doesn’t end the film in a happy place at all.
