41-year-old London is a sales manager for the mid-south area who comes from a line of football players, his dad playing for the Baltimore Colts for example. His preference is athletic women who want kids.

Darin
35-year-old Darin is a personal trainer and fitness club owner formerly from Ohio. He is at the point of his life where he feels secure financially and professionally so he is seeking a partner who wants him, doesn’t need him.

- His ex proposed to him in an attempt to get him to stay in Ohio and fit the lifestyle she wanted.
- He is a strong believer in the zodiac and identifies with his sign – Capricorn.
- Has two labrador dogs that have been in his life for 7 years.
- His ex is named Courtney and while broken up, she is still very much part of his life and he is thinking about starting a business with her.

Chimuka (Chika)
A 42-year-old barber by trade who now works from home and is seeking a woman that compliments. He has, thus far, had three relationships and the last one lasted two years and the one before 10. It isn’t clear how long the first one lasted but he notes the two-year relationship failed due to him not speaking up.

Alexis
33-year-old Alexis has worked in the software sales industry for 10 years and her longest relationship was 6 years. She prides herself in being a no bulls*** alpha woman who would like to find someone who being submissive around makes her comfortable.

- Says, as of episode 1, she was single for two years
- Is from Kansas City.
- When she was younger she got bullied, fought a lot, and was in and out of juvenile detention facilities.
- Wants to go to South Africa, and have 3 kids.

- Her last relationship was a year and a half and ended due to her partner, at the time, losing their mother and on top of the issues they already had, it was too much of a strain on the relationship.

She is still dating Brent, but they aren’t using titles yet.
Devyne
44-year-old Devyne is a director of sales, who also does real estate, and doesn’t really approach guys. Which sucks for her since, in Atlanta, she feels men are spoiled and expect women to take on that traditional role of being the pursuers.
As for what she is looking for? Muscles, abs, dimples, someone who is transparent and can laugh at themselves, and also isn’t looking to have kids.

She is with London and considers all the Alexis drama not to matter for it came before he committed to her.
Kimber
34-year-old Kimber is a realtor looking to settle down. She has been done dirty in the past, but many of her exes will note she is the best they ever had – as a girlfriend. But now she is ready to not be the best ex but just someone’s current and find something real. Also, in time, have a few kids.

If Nephew Tommy had his way, Jimmy may have been given another chance.
Brent
39-year-old Brent is an entrepreneur whose focus is opening behavioral health agencies that are marketed towards assisting at-risk youth. His signature is his grey hair, which he acquired at 13, and he considers himself an aggressive dater. It’s just, as a boyfriend, it seems he hasn’t often made himself available.

- Was formerly married to someone he had a verbally abusive relationship with.
- His marriage lasted 4 years and both of his parents have been divorced twice.
- Does martial arts in his spare time.

Tondy
The 42-year-old singer originally from Detroit, Michigan puts it out there she is like Miss Parker, from The Parkers, of her neighborhood. She also makes it know she likes tall men who are slinging and isn’t afraid to compete to get her someone who fits her preference.

- Grew up a tomboy who would box and play ball.
- Has past trauma dealing with exes trying to control her.

After Mario decided to break up with her for Reva, she became single.
Jimmy
From Decatur, Georgia, the soon to be 40 real estate agent says he dates frequently and notes he is needy. Also, that he is divorced after being married for 3 years.

Despite how toxic he may seem, he may have been given another chance with Kimber.
Nina
The 33-year-old massage therapist has never been married and notes she spent her 20s dealing with her emotional baggage. However, now she is ready to date, find a man to have kids with, and also someone who her 7-year-old son can see join their family.

Mario
The tax accountant from Jackson, Mississippi, who has his own firm now, is an adrenaline junkie with three daughters, at 25, 18, and 6, as well as a grandson. Also, in his 41 years of life, he was married for 6 of them to an alpha female. The type of woman he does not like.

- Also works in real estate and is off 8 months out of the year.
- Ex is named Latasha and broke up with him over being too controlling.

He ended up with Reva days after breaking up with Tondy.
Reva
A daughter of pastors, the Gary, Indiana native is an IT Professional who has three kids, is a veteran, divorced after being with someone for 11 years, and got pregnant from her first sexual experience.

- Reva is used to dating men in the military
- Has been in ATL for 5 years and has only dated around two people in the last couple of years.
- Enjoys going to church, shooting, and experiencing a good nut – the three most important things in her life.

Kerry
From Pontiac, Michigan, the 51-year-old Kerry works in pharmaceutical sales for a diabetes company and has multiple failed marriages. In fact, he has been single for around 6 years. However, one of the reasons could be him being a single father who put major time and effort into his son’s rearing. Especially since Kerry grew up without a father.

Ieashia
37-year-old Ieashia is a pediatric nurse who loves kids and left her former marriage after it became abusive. The situation was so dire that she took her kids to live in a shelter with her for three months. Because of this, she has a passion for volunteering, especially for the homeless, and seeks someone who likes to give back.

A college veteran advisor, and pastors child, Terrell, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, considers himself the bad boy who didn’t get caught. At least until he lost his virginity at 18 to a 26-year-old woman who exposed him to his momma.

One that could give Puff Daddy and Steve Harvey a run for their money. Also, he notes he is very spiritual and has taken a vow of celibacy until marriage. Perhaps due to dealing with a materialistic ex and wanting a woman who is down for him and not trying to collect a child support check (the last part we added in, he did not say that).

For it appears, at the age of 39, she is too often friend-zoned and after 4 to 5 years of lacking a serious relationship, she is looking for a change.

Can “Ready to love” consider a BBW (big and beautiful), version? I know you have to have a variety of ladies in your pool. However, I felt it was unfair for full figured sisters like Tessa, who almost got eliminated early, because she just wasn’t the majority of the men’s “type”. You’re either attracted to plus size or you’re not. In the end, they may reconsider their position, but those types usually end up not lasting or having a brother wanting to change a sister. BTW, thanks for changing your format from what you had in season 1. Having 12 women competing for just 4 men, had me livid. WTF?!

Just wondering if OWN TV and Will Packer Productions conducted background checks (criminal, civil) on the cast of Ready to Love. An internet search revealed one of the females has a criminal record and the occupation of one the males is questionable. Both were in the Cabin episode. Were these people properly vetted?
Hello, I’d like to say I really liked the Series Ready to love watching the show really represents the reality of what it’s like to get to know someone on a different level which was real for me, I can’t wait until the next season. One more thing Arron was full of mess from the beginning I don’t know how he made it to the end.
