Recap

A Star Is Born – Kazuya, Chizuru, Shiori

Chizuru’s grand debut was supposed to be “The Heron Princess,” and while not invited, Kazuya does go to see her and is shocked. Not because Chizuru isn’t playing the lead, but because she is a supporting role that steals the show. She makes people laugh, Kazuya cries, and while looking around, he isn’t alone in seeing her as a highlight.

But, despite her performance, it seems the well-connected lead, Shiori, gets the opportunity Chizuru was hoping for so she could quit being a rental girlfriend.

When Doubt Seeps In – Kazuya, Chizuru

While Kazuya didn’t plan to run into Chizuru after her performance, he does and finds himself listening to Chizuru question her dreams and want to give up. Because she didn’t get one opportunity, she is ready to call it quits, and to show his support, Kazuya vows to rent her every week to show his support. A gesture that is noted but also found to be stupid due to the expense that would be for him.

Things To Note

Question(s) Left Unanswered

  1. Did Chizuru not hear people laughing and her stealing the show at times?

A Nice Recap Before Moving The Story Forward

With it being two years since season 1, you have to appreciate that, on top of reintroducing all the girls, even when the episode began, we were told where Kazuya and Chizuru left off. In doing so, you weren’t left wondering who is who, questioning whether you need to rewatch the finale or anything like that. You are given more than enough to trigger memories and jump right back in.
