How Did It End
There is no Diana Cruz (Alice Braga) or Lev Dellrayne (William Fichtner). The movie reveals that Diana is actually Danny’s (Ben Affleck) wife, and even she doesn’t know where Danny hid their child. Danny hid their daughter to prevent her from being used as a weapon for her powerful mind powers.
The film’s climax follows Danny as he realizes where his daughter is hidden: at a ranch with his foster parents. The once mysterious villain is actually the Director of the operation to turn Danny and Diana’s child into a weapon. In a shootout, the Director’s agents and the Director all lose against the little girl and her family. Danny and Diana are reunited and at peace with their daughter.
Is There Sequel/ Prequel Potential?
Like many franchises today, a mid-credits scene reveals that the Director is still alive. The scene may imply a sequel, but the movie’s box office opening performed lower than expected, dwindling the chances of a return to the “Hypnotic” world.
