Overview More background into Grendel, Loser’s origins, Salva’s regrets, and so much more is given as the show builds up to what likely is the series finale.
Overview In episode 8, “The Island That Fell Into Nothingness” the story isn’t pushed ahead too far. Pretty much, outside of some background on Salva, and the aftermath of the Grodia crash, nothing significant happens.
Overview In episode 7, “The Voice Calling from the Past,” we get an almost complete background of Kyoma’s life before Grendel and see how he became part of them, and the aftermath. Also, we learn who Miyabi is.
Overview In Episode 6, “The Wind of Africa” we are introduced to what maybe our first consistent villain. Someone who brings up the possibility of war and whose subordinate may bring Kyoma, and others, to Easter Island. A significant place in Kyoma’s past.
Overview In “The Possibilities of the Dead” we find ourselves really getting to see the power of the Numbers coils, as well as learning the truth about what happened in the past and how they influence the present. Trigger Warning(s): Torture, Attempted Sexual Assault, and Exposed Bones
Overview The show takes an interesting twist as it seems to take on a multi-episode story. One which is a bit of a murder mystery with a numbers coil in the center of it. Trigger Warning(s): Body Horror (exposed bones) & Self Harm
Overview The majority of the episode is focused on explaining what “The Numbers” are, as well as us getting to know the capabilities of Mira, and the sacrifices she is willing to make to become accepted.
Overview A possible villain named “Loser” comes out of the shadows once again to attempt to steal a priceless piece of art and Kyoma is tasked with taking the illegal coils Loser uses in his heist. Leading to the reveal that Dr. Yurizaki’s story isn’t as unique as one once thought. Trigger Warning(s): Body Horror
Overview With a failed movie already based on The Mortal Instruments, there now being a TV series leads you to wonder why someone out there sees something within this franchise worth saving? Especially to the point of switching formats and getting the opportunity to cover many things which a movie naturally has to cut. Enough…
Overview Sometime in the future, where gas is a luxury, a company known as New Tesla has developed coils which can power anything and everything. Leading to a strong political presence, and many bootleggers. This story seemingly will be about one old school dude, who prefers gas over electric, keeping illegal coils out of the…
Overview In a world where demons, humans, and faeries co-exist, though not like Kekkai Sensen, there is a fairy tale about the Divine Gate. Something perhaps only people with elemental abilities can reach and, if they do, they are granted a wish. However, between discovery of powers and the possibility of reaching the gate, they…
Overview After 6 seasons Downton Abbey has come to an end. However, with it coming to the end on a Christmas Special, so comes the question if there will be at least one final somber moment before the cast bids us farewell. A move many a series has done on both sides of the Atlantic.
Overview Between the death of a character, an injury, and a bit of good news, many characters find their lives shifting, often for the better. Though for one, if not two, it seems a reminder of how terrible life is maybe all they will get.
Overview We see a lot of people, from both upstairs and downstairs, ready for the future, but only if it goes their way. Making it so anyone who dares fathom or imagine something to the contrary are in for a harsh word.
Overview While Downton Abbey can seem like a ho-hum affair at times, then comes episodes like this when life and livelihood are threatened, and bonds are formed and strengthened for the strength to get through the coming times. Trigger Warning(s): Blood Vomit
Overview As Downton Abbey creeps closer to its end, old friends become more frequent, and the possibility of happy endings seem on the horizon. For with an old friend visiting Downton, some happy news for a few of those who work downstairs, and the possibility of love, it seems any and all drama shall lead…
Overview A strange anime dealing with a bone-obsessed young woman, and a young man who acts as her voice of reason for her obsession often leads to insensitive comments and misunderstood actions.
Overview With the exit of Jessica Lange seemingly comes more attempts to draw your attention with the grotesque and shocking, rather than with compelling characters or an interesting story.
Overview Between the wedding, the continuing trouble over the hospital merger, old faces, and the question of what the future may bring, Downton Abbey keeps the energy a bit upbeat and keeps the season enjoyable and brisk.
The season premiere is all about setting things up. Unfortunately though, Ougi is the one helping Araragi setup the events of the season.
Overview What seemed like a silly OVA, which could have become perverted, thankfully is about exploring Gija’s relationship with his father, as well as hinting at Jeaha’s childhood.
Overview Perhaps one of the major topics of the episode deals with the evolving options a woman has within 1925, and how the world takes those options. For whether it is Edith possibly living alone, like Aunt Rosalind; Mary becoming the agent of the estate; Anna perhaps having an option which may help her carry…
Overview It’s 1925 in Downton and it seems the end of the grandeur lives of the upper crust is inching closer and closer, and fears of the changes to come have everyone shook. Though, even with that worry over everyone’s heads, there still remains quite a bit of personal drama to tend to.
Overview Blunt Talk is pure madness. From being caught with a trans sex worker to interviewing himself, Walter Blunt is the type of figure which will either make you laugh your butt off or question, “What in the hell is Patrick Stewart doing with his life?”
Overview A possible super soldier appears to have her memories erased, but not to the point of forgetting how to walk, talk, and show her combat skills. Alongside her memory loss though comes dozens upon dozens of tattoos, all of which may very well be relevant clues to stop terrorist attacks, and possibly expose some…
Initial Thoughts What rises must eventually fall, and it seems a lot of what made episode 2 exciting was eventually lost. For with only 3 episodes, each an hour and a half, with little build, little payoff, and not much given to make memories of the time lost placed within the realm of nostalgia, what…
Initial Thoughts Being that the first episode was a bit underwhelming, my only hopes were that it compensated for the weak political issues with more of Jogia and Bunbury. Something which it mostly does, but a part of me feels with the realization that those two’s romance was a bit too strong, they decided to…
Initial Thoughts To be completely honest, while Tut was an interesting topic in Middle school, that isn’t what got me interested in this mini-series. If anything, it was the casting of Avan Jogia as King Tut, and Jogia reuniting with Kylie Bunbury, who he last shared the silver screen with in the ill-fated Twisted. As…
Overview As the season comes to a close, a few things have become apparent. The first, and most glaring, is that the way woman suffer will always be more graphic and degrading, in comparison to the men; the second being, to invest too much in heroes maybe a waste for, as said in The Dark…
Introduction When it comes to being saved, often the first ones spoken on are the women and the children. In the world of Game of Thrones however, they usually are last. And while we have seen many a woman suffer rape and other moments in which their autonomy and dignity have been destroyed, it seems…
Introduction If most of the season has been building to something, it must have been this episode. For once more Jon Snow brings the action to the series, as he meets up with the free folk on their turf. Though, I should note, it isn’t them he squares off with, but the dreaded White Walkers….
Overview The things people will do for love is an ongoing theme. Though, as always with Game of Thrones, mentions of love never solely deal with the love of another person. No, love and this show is almost always about power and for many it is the continued pursuit of it, or the longing for…
Overview As Arya progresses, and Sansa and Tyrion regress, Cersei seemingly has all but started a war with House Tyrell. Review (with Spoilers) – Below
Overview With Daenerys dealing with the mass rebellion, and the various leaders within the north prepping for the future of the region, it truly seems like everyone is prepping for the worse and beginning negotiations with fate through concessions. Review (with Spoilers) – Below
Overview As some speak of war, and others prep for angered family members, two more possible deaths lead you to question if one character may ever stand a chance to ascend to the Iron Throne. Director: Mark Mylod Writer: Dave Hill Review (with Spoilers) – Below
Overview As Arslan experiences his maiden battle, he also experiences his first major betrayal. Luckily for him though, he has more friends than enemies. Topic 1: The Issues with Uncertainty – Supreme General Vahriz, Arslan, and Cavalry Captain Daryun Topic 2: Hellfire and Dead Bodies – Arslan Topic 3: A Knight in Shining Armor –…
Overview The episode contains our first noteworthy death, though with the situation Sansa, Arya and Cersei face, perhaps 3 deaths happen. Though their deaths are not of the physical. Topic 1: Another Son Lost, This One To Marriage – Cersei & Margaery Topic 2: The True Leaders of the North – Sansa & Jon Snow…
Overview The major female characters of the show are featured this episode, and we see their frustrations when it comes to either seeking vengeance, or ruling their empires. Director: Michael Slovis Writer: David Benioff & D. B. Weiss Topic 1: The Rise of Jon Stark – Jon Snow Topic 2: Vengence and Loyalty – Arya,…
