Terminology
Storylines
Season 1 Storyline(s)
Building An Army (Main Storyline)
For most episodes, Uchimura is meeting with different groups to have them make alliances or join the Demon Lord’s army. Thus presenting the idea, we’re at the beginning stages, long before a group of human heroes take on the Demon Lord.
Internal Strife (Side Story)
It is established early on that demi-humans and demons don’t get along, including the Demon Lord’s Elite Generals, Ulmandra and Gnome. It appears his third general, too, is willing to cause fractures.
Noteworthy Information
- Demons vs. Demi-Humans (1.3): Demons can use magic, while demi-humans cannot
- The Clothing of Demons (1.3): With the main thing separating demons from other races being their magic, and their magic being equal to their strength, demons generally show off their physique through less clothing and minimal armor not only as a means of pride but to warn and present the power of their abilities.
Dennosuke Uchimura (Yuki Ono)
Character Description
Season 1
Uchimura is a wildly underappreciated salaryman who has long produced results for his unnamed employer. Yet, the only thanks he ever got was more work that seemed meant to force him to quit. But, with each success, he only finds himself transferred while someone else enjoys the fruits of his labor until the Demon Lord makes it clear that he doesn’t have to live that way. This perspective, and being told he is needed, makes being sent to a different world less of an issue or scary thing for Uchimura, for it isn’t like he was appreciated much in his home world.
