For a lot of characters, the goal is finding who they truly are? With that comes growth and character development. Well, if you are a well-known name in the Batman universe. Everyone else suffers the same way Fish Mooney does. They rise from the dead, have their moment, and are sent back to the grave….
So, Gotham tries to do the unexpected. However, with such robotic acting from the people who should surprise us, it sort of falls flat. But, thanks to some old friends, it seems the finale at least will be interesting.

Star ends with a bang, a bit of redemption, and a few body bags to take out characters who outlived their purpose.
As usual with Star, the focus is more on the personal drama to create obstacles for “Big Trouble” than anything dealing with getting into the music industry. But, outside of Jahil’s situation, and maybe Alex’s, it seems like the same BS but a different day (or boy).
Jahil continues to use “Big Trouble” as a means to reestablish himself and while he begins to reclaim some of his former glory, Cotton is starting to bottom out. Also, Derek makes a foolish mistake which could cost him, and maybe Alex, everything.
Overview/ Review (with Spoilers) While Star, once again, ruined a serious moment with a song and dance number, that one blemish in no way ruins what is done with building up Carlotta and Cotton’s story. Especially in regards to how Mary played a role in Cotton’s life.
