Overview

Mission accomplished, and seemingly the arc is over.

Review (with Spoilers)

Well, to my surprise, after just starting the arc on episode 15, it has come to an end. Making you wonder, at this point, what is next on the horizon? For with it now being 2025 in their world, and Kirito in college, it makes you wonder if they are going to jump into Mother’s Rosario or else Alicization? Either way, let’s talk about “Excalibur.”

Sword Art Online: Season 2/ Episode 13 "Phantom Bullet" – Overview/ Review (with Spoilers)

Last updated on July 22nd, 2018 at 06:26 pm

Overview

Death Gun’s true identity, partly, is revealed and we begin the transition to the 2nd half of the season.

Trigger Warning(s): Attempted Sexual Assault

Review (with Spoilers)

With 24 episodes, and this being episode 13, it means it is time for the show to begin shifting toward its 2nd arc. However, with Death Gun alive and well, as well as his associates, there is the problem that the main issue of the first arc hasn’t been solved. Partly because of Kirito not knowing Death Gun’s name, as well as Asuna and their friends; no knowledge of who Death Gun’s associates are; and Kirito, as of the last episode, outmatched when it comes to skill and weaponry. But with him being the hero, and the sense of danger far less than the first season, naturally he survives to fight another day.

Sword Art Online: Season 2/ Episode 7 "Crimson Memories" – Overview/ Review (with Spoilers)

Last updated on July 22nd, 2018 at 06:26 pm

Overview

This episode steps away from GGO to have both Shino and Kirito reflect on what happened in the last episode.

Review (with Spoilers)

I wouldn’t necessarily call this a filler episode, but I must admit I was kind of bored watching Kirito give himself a guilt trip over the three members of Laughing Coffin he killed while hiding his feelings from everyone he cared about. Also, watching as Shino’s friend Shinkawa tried to hide his jealousy made me roll my eyes. But, at the very least, it seems this development episode, for a lack of a better term, is just to bridge the qualifiers with the main tournament. For more on “Crimson Memories” look below.

Sword Art Online: Season 2/ Episode 1 "World of Guns" [Series Premiere] – Overview/ Review (with Spoilers)

Last updated on March 28th, 2020 at 10:55 am

Overview

After a year recovering, it seems Kirito is about to be thrown into another VRMMO game.

Review (with Spoilers)

When it comes to successful series of late, that don’t seem to go way past their expiration date, like Naruto and many others, Sword Art Online is probably one of the few that didn’t seek to overstay its welcome. And while the original series did come off as a more mature version of .Hack, it found its own stride and gained quite a following. Now with season 2 it seems the show is aiming to set up the life or death feel the first arc of season 1 had, and damn if it isn’t intriguing.
