Loyalty, or lack thereof, is what leads to exile for many and the death of one.

Review (with Spoilers)

In what may be the last episode of the season, if not series, possible reasons for war are renewed. For with the human politics increasing in complication, Gabriel infiltrating the city, Edward leaving, and a slew of other events, it truly makes for a possible season finale which leaves you wanting for more. How and why? Read below.

Dominion: Season 1/ Episode 7 “Ouroboros” – Recap/ Review (with Spoilers)

Last updated on July 22nd, 2018 at 06:55 pm

Overview

As Gabriel returns to cause some havoc, the show loses some of its momentum.

Review (with Spoilers)

After building up the politics of Vega for the last few episodes, the bigger battle against Gabriel returns to focus and it feels like we are right back where we started with this show not having good footing. For with Gabriel trying to plant seeds of doubt in Alex and Michael’s relationship, it leaves Michael looking like a fool, Alex’s V2/V1 education showing how simple of a character he is. As well as show that when you set aside the political element of the show, and focus on the war between Angels and Humans, perhaps the actual plot/ main arc of the show is more a liability than an asset.

Dominion: Season 1/ Episode 6 “Black Eyes Blue” – Recap/ Review (with Spoilers)

Last updated on July 22nd, 2018 at 06:55 pm

Overview

With a short lived triumph comes a lot of characters fostering the darkness in themselves and making it seem Alex maybe the savior to a people hardly worth saving.

Review (with Spoilers)

The season is really getting better and better with each episode. Characters are evolving, the story is becoming more rich, and honestly the only thing more I could want right now is to see New Delphi or Helena. But, with this being the first season, Vega has to be fully established before we venture to different cities, so I will bide my wishes and hold them for the hopeful 2nd season. Until then though, we are given the gift of the next in line getting ready to usurp their parents. Leading me to wonder if Alex may eventually find himself, as Gabriel has said, coming to him for he finds less and less reason to protect the humans. Something farfetched right now, but oh so possible.

Dominion: Season 1/ Episode 5 “Something Borrowed” – Recap/ Review (with Spoilers)

Last updated on July 22nd, 2018 at 06:55 pm

Overview

As David preps for political civil war in Vega, Alex confronts his inability to protect humans from angels.

Review (with Spoilers)

With one surprise at the end of the episode and quite a bit of character development throughout, this was definitely an episode which solidified what I said last week that Dominion has found its stride. For with political backstabbing and information on Whele and Risen’s family uncovered, “Something Borrowed” certainly keeps the ante rising at a moderate pace. Making me wonder where the series may go in the future?

Dominion: Season 1/ Episode 4 “The Flood” – Recap/ Review (with Spoilers)

Last updated on July 22nd, 2018 at 06:55 pm

Overview

With the introduction of another angel, as well as a senator learning of the chosen one, the show begins to show why Alex would possibly want to leave Vega.

Review (with Spoilers)

I would consider this the episode when Dominion begins to get into a nice stride and really exhibit why the show was made. For after hemming and hawing about the quality of the program, story wise anyway, I think there has finally been some real sense of oomph given to the show. As for how? Well, read below.

Overview

As David Whele pushes to create a power struggle in Vega, Alex takes a walk down memory lane

Review (with Spoilers)

Even after watching Legion I still am sort of iffy on this show, but don’t necessarily think it is bad. It sort of reminds me of the odd sci-fi shows of the late 90s, or early 00s, that would be on UPN or the WB when they still existed, though arguably with a bigger budget. Speaking on this episode specifically, with the tone that is starting to develop, I am starting to feel like this show is going to develop into a post-apocalypse soap opera, with a few action scenes. Which I can’t say is a good thing, nor really a bad thing, this early on in the series.

Dominion: Season 1/ Episode 2 “Godspeed” – Recap/ Review (with Spoilers)

Last updated on July 22nd, 2018 at 06:55 pm

Overview

As word of Alex being the chosen one gets downplayed by the big names in Vega, Gabriel seems to be the only one to take this reveal seriously.

Review (with Spoilers)

At this point I think angels are basically being used, as well as a concept of god taking a vacation, in a slightly shallow manner. For while Gabriel’s Lucifer like persona is interesting, he is far from fearsome or charismatic. Then pair that with the would-be Jesus Alex, who still seems like a slightly more talented version of Stallone or Schwarzenegger, and I got to say that if this show was on any other network it would likely only last one season. But, since it is on SyFy, likely it will get renewed and all one could hope is that with time it can get stronger.

Dominion: Season 1/ Episode 1 “Pilot” [Series Premiere] – Recap/ Review (with Spoilers)

Last updated on March 28th, 2020 at 10:55 am

Overview

A reminder that all demons were once angels.

Review (with Spoilers)

I should probably begin by saying I did not watch Legion prior to seeing this, but will likely soon so I have a full grasp on what is happening. For, as of the pilot, I am finding this show a tad bit odd since it uses religious figures, yet there strangely seems to be no mention of Jesus nor Lucifer, though arguably the Archangel Gabriel presents himself as the new Lucifer, with the Archangel Michael being the protector of the 2nd coming of Jesus, it seems. Though this Jesus, named Alex, seems to be less for peace and good will and more for kicking ass.
