  • Switched At Birth: Series Overview/ Review (with Spoilers)

Overview/ Review (with Spoilers) After the end of Kyle XY and Lincoln Heights in 2009, and the birth of Pretty Little Liars as well as The Secret Life of the American Teenager, it seemed ABC Family was going to become the new go-to location for cheesy teen soap operas. Ones in which it would be very much like what we saw on Network TV. A bunch of your everyday middle class, or upper middle class, families dealing with sensationalized and elaborate versions of the average teen lives. Yet then in the summer of 2011 was born Switched at Birth and the channel which seemed a little bit like a joke decided to be asked to be taken seriously. • Stitchers: Season 1/ Episode 1 "A Stitch in Time" [Series Premiere] – Overview/ Review (with Spoilers)

Introduction Being that I pretty much give damn near anything ABC Family puts out a chance, well their dramas anyway, naturally I had to look into Stitchers. Plus, with the show having a compelling preview in front of many of the films I see at AMC, I especially felt pushed to check this out. With that said, let’s talk about the premiere episode. • TV Series Collected Quotes: The Fosters

Best Of “Not all of us are like you with a relentless need to process things the very second they happen. Some of us need a little more time to figure out how we feel.” — “Don’t Let Go.” The Fosters “You’re the reason I can’t be with you […]. You don’t know what you want, you’re just reacting all the time and you only come to me when things are hard for you or when everything is going wrong. Do I have feelings for you? Of course I have feelings for you. I’m always going to have feelings for you, but I don’t, I don’t trust you. […] I’m done. We’re done. We have to be done.” Brandon – “Over/Under.” The Fosters “I was so sure that everything was going to be taken from me, that I took it away from myself.” — “Family Day.” The Fosters “Oh, here we go.…

Best Of “You’re an adult now. It’s okay to let some relationships be superficial.” — “Locks of Love.” “Being blunt is just my coping mechanism.” — “Death Becomes Her.” “Religion is separate from God. It’s one way to connect with God, but religion, it’s a whole way of life. It’s sort of a long term solution. It’s not a quick fix.” —  “Rest in Peace.“ Community Rating: 0.00% (0) - No Community Ratings Submitted.

  • Shadow Hunters: Season 1/ Episode 1 “The Mortal Cup” [Series Premiere] – Summary/ Review (with Spoilers)

Overview With a failed movie already based on The Mortal Instruments, there now being a TV series leads you to wonder why someone out there sees something within this franchise worth saving? Especially to the point of switching formats and getting the opportunity to cover many things which a movie naturally has to cut. Enough of the speculation though, let’s talk about the pilot. • Chasing Life: Season 1/ Episode 1 “Pilot” [Series Premiere] – Overview/ Review (with Spoilers)

Overview Imagine you just hit 24, survived your dad passing on, finally am getting somewhere with your career and personal life, and then find out you have cancer. Review (with Spoilers) When it comes to ABC Family you can always expect diversity. Whether it is a program featuring deaf teenagers, those who were in the foster system, and now Chasing Life, there is always an untold story within their shows. With Chasing Life this is no different for while we have shows like The Big C featuring those who are middle aged, and then movies like The Fault In Our Stars featuring teenagers, Chasing Life hits that sweet spot of having us witness someone on the brink of starting their life, learning that it may be about to end. And, as usual, the cast is stocked with characters who never fully seem like the run of the mill you are…

  • Twisted: Season 1/ Episode 19 “A Tale of Two Confessions” [Series Finale] – Overview/ Review (with Spoilers)

Overview The show finally decides to live up to its name. Review (with Spoilers) Call this episode a last minute fix for the ho-hum nature of Twisted has just gotten violently shook up, and while some parts of the shakeup admittedly feels a little forced, and sort of campy, perhaps it can be retooled so when the 2nd season begins they can go full speed ahead. Until then though, there are a few questions left to be answered, and many moments which don’t excite as much as they lead to a raised eyebrow. Details below. Community Rating: 55.26% (1)
