In this sub-category, you’ll find TV series that are generally Japanese anime, but also animation from across the world.
What nearly ends in a bunch of simple goodbyes leads to one completely unexpected. Thus shaking up the possibilities of how this anime may end.
There was a time I wished Netsuzou Trap was more than 9 minutes but now I am so glad it is not longer than it is.
The gender swapped Romeo and Juliet finally gets performed but what steals the show, more so episode, is something Yajima talks about and Shuu confirms.
Ange and Charlotte’s backstory is finally revealed and for some, it might just be a bit of a tearjerker.
Our history teacher takes the focus off of the kingdoms of the east and sends us west. Leading Knight’s and Magic in a direction which may make its final handful of episodes interesting.
The ball comes about and it seems to be everything Nina could have dreamed of. Making how it ends just the slightest bit heartbreaking.
With the discovery that Hotaru is working at a cat maid establishment comes some possessiveness from Yuma. The kind she feels she has no right to have.
As Ririna continues to keep her distance from Yukari, Takasaki becomes more torn between expressing her feelings and dealing with what she feels is fate.
A new episode, a new mission, and nothing done to really say Princess Principal is pushing the story further.
Knights and Magic remains the only show I can think of which can introduce new kinds of beings and have battles, yet remain a bore.
As Kaisar and his team try to determine how to get Charioce’s bracelet, the Onyx Knights hire an outsider to take out the Red Dragon.
Ougi’s true identity is revealed and… even after explaining its origins you are left between rolling your eyes or being dumbfounded.
Watching “Hitagi Rendezvous” has led me to believe that as much as I enjoy the Monogatari series, I should be so happy it wasn’t an hour back in the day.
For the first time, there isn’t any ecchi moment in Netsuzou Trap. Instead, we get only stuff which would push the story forward.
After Yukari makes his move, it seems to have shaken Ririna up to the point she may be forced to acknowledge her feelings. Something Takasaki fears for she is as in love with Yukari as ever.
Dorothy’s backstory is the focus of the episode and while the other girls gave us informative tales, this was perhaps the first one which was heartbreaking.
The majority of the episode is dedicated to Ernie’s order fighting the lab and which follows maybe the next thing worth getting excited about.
Arguably one of the greatest anime series returns and while as verbose as ever, Owarimonogatari makes you feel like being welcomed home. Collected Quote(s) […] she doesn’t know everything, but knows only what she knows, and exposed truths she didn’t need to, and because she forgot truths that she didn’t have to forget, we went…
I think we’ve come to the point where enough questions have been posed or crafted for you to think of. Now, we need to begin to get some answers.
And so it begins. Riri starts to realize she may be falling for Yukari but can he feel the same about her? Especially when the government isn’t watching?
We get to properly see how Chise became part of the team this episode, making it where it almost seems we’re watching this out of order.
The stealing of Silhouette Knights takes a backseat as Ernie comes up with a whole new knight to compete with Director Olver and Chief Gaizka of the Silhouette Knight Laboratory.
How can two people be so oblivious? That is what you are going to ask yourself once the episode is over. That and how big of a creep is Fujiwara?
During the camping trip, Ririna comes to the realization that, as Takasaki and Yukari’s relationship progresses, there may not be room for her. On top of some other things Nisaka, quite cruelly, says to her, it may change her willingness to play match maker.
Princess Principal, after a very strange delay, hits us with a very curt introduction of Chise and us learning that there are some who wonder if the Princess is a double agent.
We finally learn the name of the Order of the Bronze Fang’s leader but we don’t necessarily learn why she is trying to start a war. Besides a love for chaos.
As Lady Gabriel becomes frustrated with losing power and there is a question of where Azazel went, we get to watch Charioce and Nina bond over a day and fall deeper in love.
It seems my theory may not have been too far off as we see Hotaru with a patch over her eye and Fujiwara seems to be ready to move on.
It’s a lot of what we are already used to in “The Science of Love” to the point it is hard to say the story is moving forward.
While it is shown no beast can handle Ernie and his upgrade of the Silhouette Knights, as for if the boy can handle the betrayal of his fellow human being? That is up for debate.
We continue this origin path by learning of the Princess’ first mission, as well learn about Beatrice’s tragic past.
I honestly feel at this point, and as shown by Karandi of 100 Word Anime forgetting the show in her Best and Worst anime of Spring 2017, this is a show good only because it is consistent. It may not be the top action anime, may not have the best romance or drama, but it…
Kizumonogatari ends more so with a whimper than a roar. For while the fight scenes are quite epic, and the ecchi we are used to is there, something is missing. Of which I can only believe is its heart.
It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt right? Well, in Netsuzou Trap’s case, someone possibly gets raped.
I can’t remember where, but recently I read something to the effect of Netflix being the new HBO. Something which Castlevania adds fuel to. If only because, while gloriously violent, like some HBO shows, it is rather thin in story.
Screw whatever Scum’s Love comparison I made. Koi to Oso (Love & Lies) may have some similarities, but it is much lighter and can be jaw dropping without sexual content.
With Ernie defeating a behemoth, so comes the question of what is next? Well, revolutionizing the Silhouette Knights of course. Which definitely brings some unfriendly eyes.
Well, consider me sold. A quite intriguing detail is revealed this episode and now I’m so hooked on seeing how it unfolds.
With the way things seem, don’t be surprised if the Gods and Demons join forces to rebuke Charioce and the humans he represents.
