Carmen (Angely Gaviria)

First Noted In: Season 1, Episode 1 “A Leap In Time”

Born in the 1600s to people who were enslaved, it was discovered early on that Carmen had a gift. Said gift, which is first shown just through herbology, was a secret but of great use to the local population – especially after vicious whippings. However, at the age of 18, she was sold to the family of Cristobal. Luckily, despite her dark skin, she worked in the house and was given far more kindness than her pears. In fact, Cristobal fell for her and that led to both of their undoing.

But, to correct what happened in the past, Carmen made a deal with an immortal named Aldemar. Leading to Carmen to travel through time and end up in the year 2018. Making it quite lucky she was one of the few slaves to learn how to read and write or else it wouldn’t be just a culture shock she’d have to deal with.
